Donate to AIP Foundation and join us in saving lives on the roads of developing countries around the world. None of our important work would be possible without the strong support of committed individuals, companies and organizations. Though this epidemic is vast, it is preventable, and USD15 buys a child a helmet, possibly saving a life and preventing injury. You can make a difference:
| USD 15 | buys a child a Protec helmet, reducing his or her chance of injury when riding a motorbike by 79 percent and death by 42 percent |
| USD 100 | secures billboard space for three months in Ho Chi Minh City, sharing life-saving information with the Vietnamese public |
| USD 250 | pays for five traffic safety training workshops for teachers, ensuring that they are good role models for all students |
| USD 500 | prints 55,000 “Wear a Helmet, Every Time” postcards, spreading the word about the importance of helmet use |
| USD 1000 | provides moveable barriers to protect children from traffic as they arrive and leave school |

This year, more than one million people across the world will die from road traffic injuries. Several million more men, women and young people will be injured or disabled.
In addition to the human suffering, the annual cost of road traffic injuries worldwide runs to hundreds of billions of dollars. In low- and middle-income countries, the economic cost of road injuries will be more than the development aid they receive.
Despite increased awareness and more dynamic efforts to improve road safety, the epidemic of road traffic fatalities and injuries will continue to be an important public health and development issue. Trends in many countries, in particular low-and middle-income countries, suggest that the problem could become noticeably worse within the next decade. There remains a pressing need for greater efforts and resources.
