Why we do it
Le Thanh Hai's story
In November 2007, 21-year-old Le Thanh Hai crashed into another vehicle while riding his motorbike. Doctors at Heu Hospital had to open half of his skull to relieve the pressure.
The accident has had a devastating impact on his entire family. His father has been forced to spend 80% of their savings in order to finance his rehabilitation. Even with significant medical treatment, his memory will never be fully restored. Hai still has not returned to school and is unable to resume his studies.
