Michael Florian
Monitoring and Evaluation Manager
Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
Michael first contributed to the work of Asia Injury Prevention
Foundation as a research consultant before he joined the team as Monitoring
& Evaluation Manager in August 2011. Based in HCMC, he is responsible for
research, monitoring, and evaluation in the countries where AIP Foundation is
active. His work enables AIP Foundation to have a research-based approach and
ensures the continuous improvement and effective localization of programs in
different local and national contexts.
Michael graduated from the Technische Universität
Berlin in Germany and holds a master equivalent German Diplom in Sociology and
Technology Studies. He has taught and worked on international research projects
at Technische Universität Berlin and Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg,
focusing on quantitative and qualitative methods of social research, social
stratification and behavior, as well as organizational research on
international cooperation. He has lived in Germany and the US and has conducted
research in Europe, the US and Asia.
