MoET Award

15 January 2009 – Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (AIP Foundation) was presented a Certificate of Appreciation by the Minister of Education for our contributions to education of children in Vietnam. This honor is awarded to international organizations – both corporations and non-profit – and private sector companies in Vietnam.

“We have worked closely with AIP Foundation in developing its traffic safety curriculum and implementing its programs in Ho Chi Minh City schools. We recommended this organization for this award due to its powerful message for Vietnamese children and its interactive teaching approach that engages them in traffic safety,” said Mr. Le Ngoc Diep Head Division of Primary Department of the Department of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh City.

AIP Foundation is one of several organizations to be recognized for its work in Vietnam this year. The handover ceremony took place at the National Conference Center in Hanoi, with opening remarks by Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, Minister of Education and Training. Mr. Greig Craft, President of AIP Foundation, accepted the award, saying: “This is a great honor and a testament to the important work of AIP Foundation in Vietnam. We strongly believe that education is a key component in making roads safer, and we are dedicated to creating a generation of smart and safe road users. We continue to work on traffic safety curriculum in Vietnam and hope to continue contributing to this vital component of changing social behavior.”
