His Excellency Hun Sen delivers a message to the Cambodian people about the importance of helmet use, and the effect of traffic crashes on the entire family, and Cambodia as a whole. This endorsement message will air before every episode of the Helmet Vaccine Coalition Cambodia’s (HVCC) television miniseries ‘Regrets’. Regrets follows a Cambodian family whose father and son suffer a road traffic crash to devastating consequences. The miniseries premiered on 12 May 2010 and will run for the following eight weeks on TV3 in Cambodia. The Coalition is the country-level, implementing body of the Global Helmet Vaccine Initiative (GHVI). Partners include the AIP Foundation, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia, Total Cambodge and ANZ Royal (Cambodia). GHVI represents a global movement to distribute helmets and traffic safety education to developing countries worldwide during the Decade of Action for Road Safety.
