Asia Injury believes the most effective way to improve road safety in developing Asian countries is to build partnerships with interested parties, including nonprofits, business, and government. The rationale behind this approach is that when working together towards a common goal of road safety, these partnerships can have a greater impact than in working individually.

Global Road Safety Partnership

Asia Injury is a member of the Global Road Safety Partnership. The GRSP is a network of businesses, civil society organizations, and relevant government agencies working together to realize common goals in road safety. The expectation is that these three sectors, when working together, can produce more sustainable results than if they were working alone. Asia Injury is also planning to establish GRSP Vietnam, providing representation and coordination for GRSP.

SAFE KIDS Worldwide

Asia Injury is a member of SAFE KIDS Worldwide. SAFE KIDS Worldwide is a global network of organizations dedicated to the prevention of unintentional childhood injury. Creating new child safety initiatives and supporting existing ones, SAFE KIDS is bringing together public health experts, global corporations, foundations and government agencies to address preventable risks to children.

Educating NZ

Educating NZ are specialists in education consulting and project management. With an extensive network in education, Educating NZ brings together teams of experts, principals and teachers for a wide range of school-related projects. In March 2004, three consultants from Educating NZ came to Hanoi to work with Asia Injury staff and local teachers. The two week workshop resulted in the design and development of a ‘Train the Trainers’ manual to improve the teaching capacity of Vietnamese primary school teachers in the field of traffic safety.

Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA)

In 2004, Asia Injury was selected to consult JICA on the design and implementation of the Traffic Safety Project in Hanoi. The project is planned to be carried out in two phases. Phase I, "The study on road traffic safety in Hanoi", from April 2004 to July 2004, covers the following components: (1) A review of traffic safety campaigns conducted in Hanoi including the JICA Safety Program, Hanoi 2003; (2) Examination of the themes and program for the safety campaign; (3) Preparation of the implementation schedule and logistics; (4) Consensus building among relevant organizations involved in the campaign. Phase II is the implementation of the traffic safety campaign and overall project evaluation and recommendations, which was carried out from August 2004 to March 2005.
